Standard Bank to work with China nuclear firm

We don't mind Standard Bank working with Chinese companies on general infrastructure projects, but we are concerned that China doesn't interfere in South Africa's energy strategy due to its holdings in Companies like Standard Bank. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China owns 20% of Standard Bank and an Engineering News report today says that Standard Bank will work with Guangdong Nuclear Power Company,a Chinese Nuclear firm to look for nuclear opportunities in South Africa.
